Sarah Merlino is a project manager for the NEST Coordinating Center.

Prior to MDIC, Sarah interned for the Friends of Barnabas Foundation (FOB).  FOB’s mission is to improve the lives of impoverished children in Honduras by providing high quality sustainable medical care and enabling communities to become self-sufficient through community health training and education.  At FOB, she focused on developing a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plan for their Early Childhood Development program.  Prior to joining FOB, Sarah was a health educator for Inova Health System where she provided fittings of respirator masks to Inova employees and screened and educated participants in proper respirator wear according to OSHA guidelines and recommendations.

Sarah received her BS in Community Health and MPH in Global Health from George Mason University.
