What is the NEST Medical Device RWE Marketplace?

The NEST Medical Device Real-World Evidence (RWE) Marketplace is a collaborative ecosystem where a network of data and research partners come together to source and analyze real-world data (RWD). The Marketplace facilitates the use of RWE in medical device regulatory submissions. It enhances NEST’s ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the medical device industry by streamlining the process of identifying partners who can assist NEST and study sponsors in curating, aggregating, and analyzing health data.

Why Did We Create the NEST Medical Device RWE Marketplace?

This network of data and evidence-generation partners enables NEST to effectively support RWE studies for medical technology (MedTech) sponsors. The Marketplace plays a crucial role in advancing NEST’s mission to provide reliable, purpose-fit RWD and streamline RWE studies for regulatory submissions. It aims to benefit diverse stakeholders, including medical device sponsors, regulatory reviewers, and, most importantly, patients who could gain broader access to safe and effective medical innovations.

Want to Get Involved?

To evolve and diversify the Marketplace and increase participation in RWE study execution, NEST is actively seeking more data and evidence-generation partners. By forming new partnerships and expanding its network, NEST bolsters the Marketplace’s role in promoting its initiatives and enhancing engagement within the RWE community.

Following a formal Request for Participation (RFP) released in November 2023, NEST is now accepting submissions for Marketplace participation on a rolling basis. Please submit your information using the link below and a member of the NEST team will reach out to schedule a discussion.

Eligibility: Organizations in the public and private sectors, both nonprofit and for-profit, with RWD and RWE capabilities—particularly those experienced in medical device evidence generation methodologies and supporting infrastructure (e.g., data governance, security, privacy, and use of interoperability standards to enhance collaboration and automation)—are eligible to become Marketplace Partners.
